Abstract:

Two new species of Bogidiella Hertzog, named B. cooki and B. purmamarcensis, were collected in the psammon of Rio Grande (Jujuy, Argentina). They belong to the archaic group of species near B. tabascensis of Mexico, with birramous pleopods, accesory flagellum 2-articulated, telson with 8 spines, lenticulary organs and the biggest size known, till 7,5 mm. The most recent marine deposit in this region (Cordillera Oriental) is of Cretaceous age, the Yacoraite formation. A list and a key of all known species are included.
