Abstract:

Bogidiellid Amphipoda are rare in Haiti, whereas hadziid/weckeliid Amphipoda are common. Only two species of Bogidiella, both new, have been found in two out of 242 groundwater samples. A number of general rules governing the occurrence of malacostracan Crustacea in inland groundwaters of the West Indies are enumerated.
